Backyard Pumpkin Butter

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) of unsalted butter, at room temperature

  • 16 teaspoons of Backyard Spice Company Pumpkin Spice

  • 2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree (optional

  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)

    Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Make sure the butter is softened to room temperature, but not melted.

    Combine Ingredients:

    • In a mixing bowl, add the softened butter.

    • Add Backyard Spice Company Pumpkin Spice

    Optional: Add Vanilla Extract and Pumpkin Puree

    • If you'd like a touch of extra flavor, add the vanilla extract to the mixture. This is optional, but it can enhance the overall taste.

    • If you want to send the pumpkin flavor home add two tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree

Mix Thoroughly:

  • Use a hand mixer or a wooden spoon to thoroughly combine all the ingredients. Mix until the pumpkin, spices, and sweeteners are evenly distributed throughout the butter.

Taste and Adjust:

  • Taste the pumpkin-flavored butter and adjust the spices or sweetness to your liking. You can add more powdered sugar or spices as needed.

Shape and Serve:

  • You can either serve the pumpkin-flavored butter as a soft spread immediately, or you can shape it into a log using plastic wrap or parchment paper. Roll it into a log shape, wrap it tightly, and refrigerate until firm.

Serve:

  • Serve your homemade pumpkin-flavored butter on toast, muffins, scones, or any baked goods of your choice.

Storage:

  • If you have leftover pumpkin-flavored butter, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can also freeze it for longer storage.
